Everyone needs to take care of their mental health, but not everyone remembers to do so. That’s a key lesson I’ve learned since starting the Jack.org Chapter at UWinnipeg. And I’m so excited I’ll get a chance to share that message with the Royal Couple! On our campus, my team and I work hard to get the message that we all have mental health and we all need to take care of it out there. And the more I talk to students, the more I realize how valuable that message is. So many of us never take the time to think about how we’re feeling, or how we can keep ourselves well. I hope that the more we talk, the easier it will get to take our mental health seriously and to take care of ourselves and our loved ones.

I hope that through the attention of the Royal Visit, we can show that mental health really does affect everybody and it will get easier to start these conversations throughout our day.
